Starting a new business endeavor can be daunting, regardless of whether you begin with an idea and look to build a company around it, or whether you start from within the support system of an existing business.  It is difficult to get access to the resources you need.  It is difficult to stick to your strategic vision when day-to-day demands intrude, and it is equally challenging to focus on your day-to-day activities when the industry, economy, technology, and other external factors insist on changing without your permission!
