Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for the Montana Business Incubator reflects the partnership concept behind the organization of the incubator, and is composed of members from both the Big Sky Economic Development Authority and Montana State University-Billings. Additionally, the MBI Board includes representatives of allied economic development, research, and commercial institutions. The MBI is fortunate to have such distinguished members of the Billings community serving on our Board.

Board Chairman
Joe McClure

Joe is the Executive Director of the Big Sky Economic Development Authority and provides extensive economic development and private enterprise expertise to the MBI Board. As Executive Director of the Big Sky EDA Joe provides leadership and direction to the MBI, ensuring that the organization is a vital part of Billings and Eastern Montana economic development initiatives.

Secretary
Terrie Iverson

Terrie serves the MBI board as its secretary and brings many years experience as an administrator to the service of the MBI and its client companies. Terrie is the Administrative Vice Chancellor of Montana State University-Billings and serves the students, staff, and faculty of the University. Her perspective on higher education and organizational management is invaluable to the MBI.

Treasurer
Randy Rhine, Ph.d.

Dr. Rhine is the Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Lifelong Learning at Montana State University-Billings. He has extensive experience in the operation of business Incubator programs and offers a significant level of expertise to the service offerings and execution of the MBI mission.

Vince Ruegamer

Vince is a current board member of the Big Sky Economic Development Authority as well as a sitting member of the Billings City Council. He brings with him many years of experience in the banking business as a past Vice President of First Interstate Bank.

Howard Knapp M.D. Ph.d.

Dr. Knapp is the Executive Director of the Billings Deaconess Research Division, an organization focused on clinical research in partnership with some of the major medical organizations in the United States. Dr. Knapp is a distinguished expert in clinical pharmacology and internal medicine, as well as other fields.

James Klessens

James is the Coordinator of Beartooth Resource Conservation and Development, an Economic Development District serving five Montana counties with a variety of services. Mr. Klessens has many years experience in economic development and is committed to creating wealth jobs, and opportunity for Montanans.
