MBI
accepts applications from companies who meet the following criteria:
The beginnings of a
sound management and/or product development team that can
demonstrate their ability to handle both the technical and
managerial aspects of the business or understand how to obtain
needed technical assistance. (The MBI can help resident companies
build complete managerial teams, but a core group or person
dedicated and capable is desirable)
Have
the ability/capacity to pay the MBI's monthly fee
A developed or conceptualized
business and marketing plan demonstrating the potential for the
applicant's success as an innovative technology company and shall include, at a minimum,
sufficient basis for the following findings:

The business
experience and educational background of the principles of the
organization support a reasonable expectation that the development
of the product or business is feasible;

The needs identified
by the applicant can be realistically met by participation as a MBI
client; and

The organization’s
projections of future revenue and employee growth are realistic.
A willingness to accept
advice and counsel. The client companies must be
willing to open their business plans and business processes up for
scrutiny by MBI staff members, MBI Board members, MBI Advisory
Council members, and others. MBI recruits only companies that
possess a real need for the services provide by the MBI and
demonstrable receptiveness to the input available from the MBI.
